Original artwork by Linda Ravenscroft and charted by Michele Sayetta of Heaven & Earth Designs
Stitched 1 over 1 full cross using DMC floss on 27 count antique white Linda evenweave
I started her on 3rd June but have kept her quiet so Fudgey could use what I'd done so far for the Mystery WIP Pic on the Heaven & Earth BB :) Nicki from NZ very cleverly guessed it so now I can reveal :) I am working in 10 x 10 columns down each page and I think this is the way for me to stitch HAED charts without having to grid :) I'm extremely impatient you see :)

I work in 20x10 columns and I have to grid(I'm such a chicken; I'm afraid I'll mess up if I don't). Verdure looks great so far and you got to be the mystery WIP--fun!
I'm still trying to decide if I'll buy anything during the sale--there are a couple of charts calling out to me, as always.
Oh, I agree, Mel! Too much gridding is tedious. Sometimes I'll mark out the center lines, plus a few more. These HAED projects are much more dense and complicated than anything I've ever stitched and can certainly see the use of grids! :D
Oh my gosh! I am so impressed with your commitment to those HAED designs! You are my HAED idol, that is for sure!
You know, that's the first time I've even had a good idea what the mystery WIP is! Just love those colours - in fact, I'm putting her on the wish list. You've done a good enabling job! :)
And I know what you mean about gridding - it takes up way too much time! ;)
Very nice Mel!! As you know, I am a big fan of 10 stitch wide columns ;) How many HAEDs is that now? LOL
this is looking great Mel! I have never thought of working like this. Do you end up having to change thread more frequently?? I tend to work from the middle, and pick a colour and do as much as I can with that colour, and then pick up another colour to work around it.
By the way.....what is the name, model of the camera you bought..I love the idea of the 5 photos in a row...I love the water shot ith the kids!
All your WIP's are looking great - I wouldn't have the patience for those HAEDs, but I love to see them being stitched :)
